GROUP SHOW
WE SPEAK
ART STATION GALLERY
SAMARKAND, BERUNIY STR., 1

13 DECEMBER 2025 - 15 MARCH 2026
This exhibition is an experiment.
Five contemporary artists from Uzbekistan and Russia chose not to wait for invitations — they created the exhibition themselves. No assigned theme, no external selection, no “this is not allowed,” entirely by their own efforts and resources.
More often it works differently: there is a starting point — a theme, a gallery, or a curator — that sets the topic. This is normal. But in our case the process unfolded the other way around: the artists themselves selected the works they wanted to show and the ideas they wanted to express. The curator then organized these works into a shared conceptual space. The gallery opened its doors to a fully formed vision.
Any experiment has a hypothesis. Ours was this: if you give artists freedom, their works will naturally gather around fundamental, archetypal themes — the ones that concern every human being. And that is exactly what happened: all works relate to one of the five central directions — Identity, Community, Conflict, Myths and Space. Welcome!
FEATURED ARTISTS
MUKHAMMADIYOR MUMINOV

NADINE DHIVER
Contemporary fine artist working with painting and drawing

Nadine Dhiver (born in 1990 in Magdeburg, Germany) currently lives and works in Moscow. She graduated from the British Higher School of Art and Design in Moscow in 2014 and later continued her studies at several institutions, including the Royal Drawing School ODDY24 in London, which she completed in 2025. Nadine’s works always exist at the boundary between the visible and the felt: in her practice she explores how a factual reality is layered with associations, memory, and lived experience.

ROMA SOYEROV
Contemporary interdisciplinary artist

Roma Soyerov (born in 1993 in Moscow, Russia) currently lives and works in Tashkent. His professional background shapes his distinct architectural approach to how viewers perceive his works. The artist works across different media and techniques, but what unites his paintings, installations and sculptures is a continuous search for balance between the architecture of form and the element of chance, between the author’s intention and the viewer’s interpretation.

SITORA BREJNEVA
Contemporary interdisciplinary artist

Sitora Brezhneva (born in 1984 in Bukhara, Uzbekistan) currently lives and works in Tashkent. She is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher working at the intersection of contemporary art, cultural inquiry, and visual storytelling. Sitora believes that art must act upon the viewer — shift thinking — and therefore chooses to work with themes of freedom and constraint, women’s roles in society, fear, solitude, and inner resilience.
