In everyday life, which seems far removed from myths and superheroes, we still live by their logic. Each of us carries a personal myth under the skin woven from experience and imagery. Social roles shift our self-perception: motherhood, for instance, awakens an archaic instinct for protection and makes the body “more animal” than the prescribed image of a “modern woman.”
In this work, I illustrate that shift quite literally: fine fingers grow claws, and patches of skin sprout fur. This is not about monstrosity, but about strength. We are wild — and no less authentic for it, sometimes even more so. Existing “in between” — animal and human — can restore grounding and offer resilience.
